Funcare

Wyke Community and Children's Centre provides after School and holiday day care for children aged 5-12 years. Our ethos is child-centered and we base our provision on the play work principles. Children have access to our unique outdoor play space which specializes in child-led and risky play, such as building, using tools and cooking with fire.

Out Of School Club

The Out of School club is open 5 days per week, Monday to Friday. We collect from most of the Local Primary Schools and are open until 6pm.

Primary Schools we offer a collection service from include: Appleton Academy, Low Moor Primary and Worthinghead Primary.

Whilst with us children are offered a snack at 4pm and have access to a wide variety of activities and experiences. Fridays are dedicated to 'Fire Fridays' where children learn safely how to light, manage and cook on a fire in our Specially built Fire Pit area.

The Out of School club is open 5 days per week, Monday to Friday. Primary Schools we offer a collection service from include: Appleton Academy and Worthinghead Primary. Whilst with us children are offered a light tea at 4pm and have access to a wide variety of activities and experiences.

Holiday Club:

The Holiday Club is open 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, from 8am - 6pm.

Each Holiday Scheme has a range of activities, days out and different experiences for children to join in with. Wednesdays are dedicated to Forest Schools sessions. Children have the opportunity to spend time in the Local Judy Woods, playing in the streams, climbing trees, building dens and just enjoying the great outdoors. Booking early for the Holiday Club is essential as places often get booked up very far in advance. Please check back here before School holidays for a copy of the Holiday Club activity Plans.
